Pupils and staff shared lots of poems on the theme of heroes and heroines, plus some music and film too at this year's Poetry Café in the Library.
The day also saw the launch of a ‘Heroes and Heroines’ Poetry Writing Competition, with prizes for the most original and creative entries. Closing date: 5th November.

Pupils visiting the Poetry Cafe held to celebrate National Poetry Day let their imaginations and ideas flow, adding thoughts and ideas to their tablecloths and creating lines to add to a poetry collage.
